Originally from the Portuguese islands of the Azores, In\u00eas Ferrer began her training at the Faro Ballet school, before joining the Superior Dance School in Lisbon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She joined the National Ballet of Portugal<\/em> in 2013 where she has been entrusted with soloist roles from the company\u2019s classical repertoire: \u00a0Sleeping Beauty<\/em>, Giselle,<\/em> Swan Lake,<\/em> La Bayad\u00e8re<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As versatile dancer, she has embraced the neo-classical repertoire by dancing in pieces such as \u201cShort Cut\u201d<\/em>\u00a0and \u201c5 tangos\u201d <\/em>by Hans Van Manen, \u201cShostakovich Pas de deux\u201d<\/em> by Yannick Boquin, \u201cS\u00e9r\u00e9nade\u201d<\/em> or even \u201cConcerto Barocco\u201d<\/em> by George Balanchine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In more contemporary registers, we can see her in: \u201cOrph\u00e9e & Eurydice\u201d<\/em> and \u201cPedro e In\u00eas\u201d<\/em> by Olga Roriz, \u201cSer\u00e1 que \u00e9 uma estrela\u201d<\/em> by Vasco Wellenkamp, \u201cMinus 16<\/em>\u201d by Ohad Naharin, \u201cChronicle\u201d<\/em> by Martha Graham and \u201cThe rite of Spring\u201d<\/em> by Nijisnky to name but a few. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the start of her career, she has taken part in many international Galas. Her art has been recognised with many awards and she was crowned \u201cBest Soloist\u201d during the Dance World Cup Competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
