{"id":9415,"date":"2026-02-26T09:12:36","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T08:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.leshivernales.be\/danseur\/thays-golz-principal-of-the-philadelphia-ballet\/"},"modified":"2026-02-26T09:15:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T08:15:12","slug":"thays-golz-principal-of-the-philadelphia-ballet","status":"publish","type":"danseur","link":"https:\/\/www.leshivernales.be\/en\/dancer\/thays-golz-principal-of-the-philadelphia-ballet\/","title":{"rendered":"Thays Golz, Principal of the Philadelphia Ballet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Brazilian dancer began her training in her hometown of S\u00e3o Paulo at the <em>Ra\u00e7a Centro de Artes<\/em>, where she studied under Roseli Rodrigues and Edy Wilson de Rossi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2011, after winning a scholarship at the <em>Youth American Grand Prix<\/em>, she continued her training in Germany at the <em>John Cranko Schule<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2016, she again stood out at the competition, earning second place in the Senior category, which led to a contract with the <sup>Houston<\/sup> <em>Ballet<\/em>, where she performed for two seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2018, Thays joined the <em>Philadelphia Ballet<\/em> (formerly Pennsylvania Ballet). She quickly rose through the ranks and currently performs as a principal dancer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her repertoire includes leading roles in major classical and contemporary works, such as George Balanchine\u2019s \u00ab The Nutcracker \u00bb, \u00ab La Bayad\u00e8re \u00bb, \u00ab Giselle \u00bb, \u00ab Swan Lake \u00bb, \u00ab Apollo \u00bb and \u00ab Petite Mort \u00bb. She has also appeared in world premieres such as those by Yin Yue (\u201cA Trace of Inevitability \u201c) and Juliano Nunes (\u201cConnection\u201d).
