Originally from Japan, Mai began her training at the Arte Balletto Dance School before joining the Ballet School of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, directed by Eleonora Abbagnato. There, she completed a full eight-year professional training program, graduating with a diploma in classical-academic dance.
During her studies, Mai had the opportunity to perform in numerous classical and contemporary productions. She notably danced as one of the children in “The Nutcracker”, the Blue Fairy in “Pinocchio”, Aquarium in “The Carnival of the Animals”, as well as the leading roles in “Raymonda” and “La Boutique Fantasque”.
In 2024, she joined the additional corps de ballet of the Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, under the direction of Clotilde Vayer, where she continues to expand her stage experience through the company’s challenging repertoire.
In July 2025, Mai took part in the Exclusive International Ballet Program, directed by international ballet master Thomas Gallus. Following this, she received an invitation to join the Ballet Stars of Les Hivernales de la Danse, as part of the collaboration between the Festival and the Ballet Program.
