The Brazilian dancer began her training in her hometown of São Paulo at the Raça Centro de Artes, where she studied under Roseli Rodrigues and Edy Wilson de Rossi.

In 2011, after winning a scholarship at the Youth American Grand Prix, she continued her training in Germany at the John Cranko Schule.

In 2016, she again stood out at the competition, earning second place in the Senior category, which led to a contract with the Houston Ballet, where she performed for two seasons.

In 2018, Thays joined the Philadelphia Ballet (formerly Pennsylvania Ballet). She quickly rose through the ranks and currently performs as a principal dancer.

Her repertoire includes leading roles in major classical and contemporary works, such as George Balanchine’s « The Nutcracker », « La Bayadère », « Giselle », « Swan Lake », « Apollo » and « Petite Mort ». In 2019, she was invited to perform at the opening gala of the Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition, further confirming her international reputation.
