Born in Marseille, Hélias began his training at the “Conservatoire de Musique de Marseille” in 2001. Nine years later, he continued his courses at the “Studio Ballet Colette Armand”, before heading to Germany to join the Hamburg Ballettschule until 2013. A talented student, Hélias naturally joined the “Bundesjugendballet”, associated with the school, for a two-year period.
In 2015, Hélias joined the renowned Nederlands Dans Theater 2 company in Den Haag, where he performed works by Jiri Pokorny, Edward Clug, Sharon Eyal, Alexander Ekman, Paul Lightfoot, Sol Leon, Marne and Imre Van Opstal.
After a year with the HNK Ballet in Rueka, Hélias joined the Italian company Aterballetto, with whom he is still performing. Since 2017, he has performed works by Ohad Naharin, Hofresh Shechter, Jiri Kylian, Johan Inger, Adonis Foniadakis, Diego Tortelli, Eyal Dadon, Danielle Desnoyers and Rihoko Sato.
A freelance artist travelling to the four corners of Europe, Hélias has also been invited as an international teacher for 10 years to teach his improvisation techniques and give repertory classes in numerous schools.
