Eve-Marie Dalcourt, Freelance Artist

Hailing from Canada, Ève-Marie has distinguished herself from an early age as an exceptional dancer. She trained at the “École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec” under Anik Bissonnette between 2011 and 2016. In her quest for excellence, she participated in intensive workshops with internationally renowned institutions such as “Arts Umbrella” in Vancouver in 2015 and “Nederlands Dans Theater” (NDT) in 2016. Her precocious talent is quickly noticed: she was awarded the “Prix Avenir” by the city of Longueuil and the “Danse-Danse” Award in Montreal.

In 2016, Ève-Marie joined “NDT2”, directed by Nancy Euverink and Fernando Hernando Magadan. There she travels the world, performing pieces by eminent contemporary choreographers such as Alexander Ekman, Leon & Lightfoot, Marco Goecke, Johan Inger, and Felix Landerer. Driven by a desire to promote artistic innovation, she became a freelance artist in 2019, collaborating with independent companies such as Kristian Lever’s “Klever Dance” and Kammerballetten in Copenhagen. She is also regularly involved in projects at the Korzo Theater in The Hague, where she creates with resident choreographers including Wubkje Kuindersma, Antonin Rioche and Parvaneh Scharafali. Since leaving NDT, Ève-Marie has developed a close collaboration with Brazilian choreographer Juliano Nunes, with whom she works as dancer, assistant and consultant.

Ève-Marie also shows a passion about teaching, offering workshops around the world since 2019, from America to universities in South Korea, Japan, Mexico and Europe. She particularly enjoys helping classical dancers broaden their artistic palette towards contemporary dance. She joins Alexander Ekman’s team, for whom she supervises productions such as “Cacti et Fit” at the Royal Swedish Ballet, Ballet Basel and Staatsballett Berlin, as well as “PLAY” at the Paris Opera.

Her career has also taken her into the world of fashion and events, where she performed at Paris Fashion Week for Louboutin under the direction of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and at Milan’s Salon di Mobile in a show for Porsche, choreographed by Imre and Marne van Opstal.

In 2024, Ève-Marie took part in “Révolution”, Quebec’s most popular dance show, captivating audiences with her talent and charisma. Her career is that of a complete, passionate and versatile artist, who inspires with her commitment to dance in all its diversity.
