Ulrik rejoint la Ballet Royal Danois en tant qu’apprenti en 2002. En 2004, il entre dans le corps de ballet et il lui faudra 3 ans de plus avant de passer soliste. C’est en 2009 qu’Ulrik se voit attribuer le grade de Danseur Etoile.
En 2007, il remporte la médaille d’or au Concours Erik Bruhn à Toronto. Ulrik s’est produit avec les danseurs du New York City Ballet en France et en Espagne dans le pas de deux du Cygne Blanc. Il a dansé le rôle de James dans La Sylphide le jour du Danemark à l’exposition de Shanghai et à la Fête Polonaise au Jacobs Pillow dance festival aux Etats-Unis.

Furthermore he has danced soloist parts in Impénétrable songe, Petite Mort, Bella Figura, Sechs Tänze, Dancing on the Front Porch of Heaven, Gentilhomme, Symphony in 3 movements, Symphony in C, Dances at a Gathering. Ghosts, L’homme de Bois, The Wanderers and Octet and Marty in Come Fly Away.
